Haldan Dinnerware Place Setting, 16-Piece Set

It just came so we haven't had a chance to unpack it.

I ordered this set and within 5 day received it. The packaging was top notched. Every dish was in its own box padded very well. I have then displayed on my open shelving and they are just beautiful. I will be doing more shopping at Dansk.

I looked high and low for pretty, durable dishware... and so far so good! No cracks or chips yet. Just got 2 sets as a gift for my birthday last month and then I bought an additional set to make it a complete set of 12. I love the purple-ish grey color. The shape of the dishes fit in the dishwasher really well. I think that the mugs are really pretty. The bowls are wide and flat, nice shape! All and all, I'm happy with this purchase and I hope they stand the test of time!

The color and finish is excellent. Super sturdy! I dropped a few bowls on each other and NO Chips!! The bottom of these dishes are not fired, which concerned me until they went thru the dishwasher, then it felt much better.

The dishes exceeded my expectations. they are awesome. I love them!

I was looking for new dishes for years. When I saw these, they were mine!! We use them for every day but could easily be for any occasion! The coffee cups are a perfect size. No signs of scratches from daily use. Order arrived unscathed from the journey to our home! Love the color also. Goes well with anything. Like the quality of the dishes for clean up and feel of durability. All in all I love our choice!!!!!

Very Well Made

Not entirely the fault of Dansk, but these things constantly break in the dishwasher. I have gone through all of the coffee cups, I even ordered 4 additional and they all broke. I have 2 large plates left, and the fruit bowls were all destroyed about 6 months after purchase. I love the look, it just breaks easily

I LOVE the color, texture, and look of these dishes. The contours in the plates are deep enough and the bowls are wide and deep enough which is hard to find. I also love that the plates don't get too hot on the bottom and edges when microwaving. However I initially returned/exchanged about 6 plates as they appeared to have scratch marks likely from using utensils on them. Now after about 3 months of using them daily, all my plates and some of my bowls have scratch marks from the silverware. I have had other Dansk plates that didn't seem to ever get any marks so this is a bummer to me. Especially since I bought 12 settings and planned for this to be my forever place setting.

There are a lot of issues. I wish I didn't buy two sets. The glazing doesn't look anything like the picture. I love the shape of all the dishes. However, I was disappointed with the glaze. I bought two additional bowls as well as asking for replacements. In fact I had to ask for replacements 3 times on the bowls and recieved the same defects as well as replacements come in with chips. Even the final replacement was defective. Sometimes the glaze was running, and the amber rim was either existent on some peices or had patches of no glaze. The bowls all come with two distinct white lines on the rims of the bowls. I'm not sure if it's a cheaper-end glaze, over-fired or lack of glaze applied causing these defects. A lot of them show glaze running somewhere on the pieces. I did notice something new. If you use the washer you might want to use the top shelf. It won't help much but the lower level in the washer will definitely fade the color. Just count on a light-bluish grey dishes. The amber rim fades almost completely. I recommend not using these dishes for when you have company. I also bought some of the larger serving bowls separately for salad and sides for Thanksgiving. They came with no amber rim at all. I guess you can sort of tell they all go together. If you do buy this set I hope you have a better outcome than I did. The reason for 2 stars is because customer service answers fast and are rather pleasant. I unfortunately won't be buying from Dansk again.

I have had these dishes in regular use for about 2 years. At this point 50% are chipped which speaks to skimping on quality (like many retailers lately). Older quality dinnerware doesn’t chip. There are also minor imperfections in the glazing that aren’t just aesthetic but again speaks to the poor quality of the product. Very disappointed, I bought from Dansk because I thought the brand cared about the quality of their pieces.
