Meh
Color is nice and less saturated than vintage Dansk yellow but the finish has a few more imperfections than expected. At each foot of the crisscross handle there is a black line or seam not seen on vintage pieces. Also, each pot handle is missing some finish. Haven’t returned it because it was on sale with an additional 15% off and if Dansk/Lenox sent a replacement it would probably have the same imperfections. Have not used it to cook. Purchased for storage and display.

Very Poor Quality Enamel
I absolutely loved my Dansk Kobenstyle 4 quart casserole for 1.5 years. I handled it with kid gloves, never using it over high heat, or exposing it to thermal shock. I never used abrasive cleaners, always hand washed with a Swedish dish cloth, and stored it carefully. One evening recently, I decided to place it on the stovetop with several inches of water in the bottom, and a small amount of baking soda. I simmered this on low, in an attempt to remove a small amount of what appeared to be mineral buildup from the bottom. It was simmering on low for about 20 minutes, when I heard this odd sound, like ice cracking. I noticed the noise was coming from the casserole. As I watched, the enamel was just popping off the bottom in flakes, exposing the black under layer. The strangest part is that there was at least 3 inches of water in the pan, and it was on low- not even boiling. The metal sounded like it was flexing, or warping, causing the ceramic enamel to crack and pop off. It was so strange. Aside from the fact that this was not a cheap casserole, and is garbage now, my greatest concern is safety. Can you imagine cooking something, like a stew, soup, or chili in this, and not knowing your food was filled with tiny, potentially very harmful shards of ceramic flakes? You wouldn’t know right away. You could easily ingest this and cause serious harm. The only reason I found out is due to the fact that I had nothing but water inside, making it easy to see what was happening. Dansk needs to address this issue before someone gets seriously hurt.

Very Disappointed
I got this pot last year as a Christmas gift and was so in love with it. I love the minimalist Scandinavian design and how lightweight it is. My mom, who is from Denmark, has an original version that she's owned for over 30 years so I thought it would last me a lifetime just like hers has, but boy was I wrong. After a few months of using this pot only a handful of times, the enamel coating on the inside began chipping off into my food! At first it was just a little bit so I didn't think too much of it and continued using the pot, but the chipping has only gotten worse as I've continued to use the pot. Additionally, no matter how much oil or fat I use I always have to have a problem with foods charring and sticking to the bottom of the pot, which turns into a nightmare to clean. I've soaked it repeatedly and can't seem to get the black stains off the pot. I've followed all the instructions for care and have generally take very good care of this pot but alas, after barely a year of owning it I will likely have to replace it with something different. They obviously don't make these with the same quality they used to. Super disappointed :(
